Dave Bautista Says Drax is Still "Confused" in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2

Dave Bautista may never fully make the transition from former professional wrestler to full time actor, but no one can take away how he has embodied the role of Drax the Destroyer. The actor will return as the oblivious behemoth in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and according to his interview with IGN, not much has changed:

"You know it's weird, because Drax, I like to say he’s confused. He’s developed strong relationships with these people, they are now his friends and his family, but he’s still the same guy. He still takes everything very literally, but now he’s surrounded by people who use metaphors constantly. So he either doesn’t know what they’re talking about, or he’s pretending to know what they’re talking about, but he really doesn’t. So he’s just confused."

In the SDCC footage (which still has yet to be released), we witnessed that in addition to all that, Drax still lacks a filter. Confused by the presence of Kurt Russell's character Ego and what he is, Drax boldly questions whether or not Ego has a human penis, and is satisfied with the response.

Maybe it's the wrestling fan in me, but I'm excited for Batista to once again appear in a successful franchise. I think it shows he can thrive under the right role and not just appearances where he has one line the entire movie *COUGH* Skyfall.
