Dave Bautista Set to Star in Film Adaptation of The Comic Book ETERNAL WARRIOR

Dave Bautista is going to jump in on another comic book film franchise! He is looking to star in a film adaptation of Valiant Comics Eternal Warrior. The actor has been teasing a mysterious project from Valiant Comics, but when a fan asked him on Twitter how his Eternal Warrior project was going the actor confirmed that was the project in his response saying:

"Glad you asked cuz I'm really excited about EW. We are currently working to get the script fan worthy and then we'll be full on from there."

Valiant has yet to confirm the project is really happening, but Bautista is excited that it's in development so that seems like pretty solid confirmation that something is happening with it. If you're not familiar with the comic, here's a description of the story thanks to THR:

The concept behind Eternal Warrior is a simple one: Resurrected using a mysterious artifact after a battlefield death millennia ago, Gilad has become functionally immortal with two unexpected side effects. Firstly, he can be killed — it's just that he will come back to life afterwards, no matter how painful a process that might be. Secondly, across the centuries, he falls into the service of the Earth itself, defending the Geomancer, a being chosen by the planet to act as its champion in times of need. Needless to say, neither being the Geomancer nor their defender is an entirely easy — or un-dangerous — proposition.

I've never read the comic, but it sounds like it could be a fun flick! I'm also a fan of Bautista and it sounds like a great new film project for him to be a part of.
