Dave Bautista Thinks Marvel May Get Full Rights Back to SPIDER-MAN

I love Dave Bautista. He and Drax are so similar and funny. They both are strong and aggressive and they both often don't understand the intricacies of how Hollywood works. Recently, in an interview with Podcast One, Bautista shared his thoughts on how Spider-Man could come back.

While I don't doubt Bautista would love for this to be true, I just worry that it's beyond attainability currently. Nevertheless, he believes otherwise:

"Spider-Man is the one I'm really looking forward to. I love that kid - I love Tom Holland. I also love that they're staying so true to the comics with this whole series and I think that's because Marvel Studios has gotten involved. I think before, I think it was Sony who had control. And I think they're doing a partnership now, but I think they will - I don't know this for sure - but I think they're going to re-acquire Spider-Man."

I want him to be right. I want so BAD for him to be right. I feel like Sony's film division needs big franchises right now. They only really have Spider-Man, James Bond, and Smurfs. They also have Men in Black and 21 Jump Street, but both of those seem to be on the back burner currently. If you had one thing that could give you money, would you be willing to part with it? Especially with plans for Venom and Black Cat and Silver Sable films in play?
