David Arquette Says SCREAM 5 Should Happen

Scream 5 isn’t an actual film at the moment, but in the opinion of David Arquette, it absolutely should be. Arquette recently spoke to Slasher radio (via Dread Central) about whether or not he thinks a fifth film in the series should happen, despite the fact Wes Craven isn’t around to help make it.

Yeah, absolutely. I would love to do that. I think [Craven would] still be a part of it in an incredible way. It would be like a tribute almost. Yeah, I think it would be really fun. I love everyone involved in it. Neve is such an anchor, and so incredible as an actress. I think there’s something there.

Obviously, stuff isn’t going to just get rolling because David Arquette says so, but this might be enough for talks to get started. The success of Halloween will likely lead to other classic horror franchises returning, but should Scream be one of them? Let us know in the comments.
