David Ayer Set to Direct HEART OF THE BEAST About a Retired Navy SEAL and His Combat Dog
Director David Ayer, who recently helmed the action thriller The Beekeeper, has found his next film project. The movie is titled Heart of the Beast, and it’s being produced by Paramount Pictures and director Damien Chazelle (Babylon).
The story follows “a former Navy SEAL and his retired combat dog who attempt to return to civilization after a catastrophic accident deep in the Alaskan wilderness.”
This should be a great project for Ayer, who has shown his appreciation of the military with some of the films that he’s helmed such as the World War II movie Fury. His social media accounts are also filled with posts that honor those who have served.
This will also be Chazelle’s first film project where he is taking on a full producer role after signing a deal with the story. Cameron Alexander, wrote the script, and he will also executive produce.
