David Harbour Set to Star In PlayStation's Film Adaptation of GRAN TURISMO
Stranger Things star David Harbour is set to take on a lead role in Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions’ film adaptation of Gran Turismo.
Neill Blomkamp (District 9) is directing from a screenplay written by Jason Hall and Zach Baylan. The film will be based on a true story. It’s described as being “the ultimate wish-fulfillment tale of a teenage Gran Turismo player whose gaming skills won a series of Nissan competitions to become an actual professional race car driver.”
This teen was able to translate his Gran Turismo gaming skills into real life through a series of Nissan competitions, resulting in him becoming a professional race car driver. This is a pretty cool story and an interesting direction for a Gran Turismo movie.
There’s no word on who Harbour will be playing in the film. The project will go into production soon and the movie will be released on August 11th, 2023.
