David Harbour's Christmas Action Film VIOLENT NIGHT Gets a Fun Featurette
Santa Claus is coming to town and he’s going to actually kick some ass in the upcoming Universal Pictures movie Violent Night. David Harbour (Stranger Things) takes on the role of Santa Claus, and he’s ready to fight for a little girl who still strongly believes in Santa when she and her family are taken hostage.
We’ve got a fun new featurette for you to watch for the movie today that offers a behind the scenes look at the film and includes the cast and crew discussing the funny, violent story, and heartwarming story that it tells. This version of Santa is very different from anything we’ve seen before and I love it!
In the film, “When a team of mercenaries breaks into a wealthy family compound on Christmas Eve, taking everyone inside hostage, the team isn’t prepared for a surprise combatant: Santa Claus is on the grounds, and he’s about to show why this Nick is no saint.”
The movie comes from the producers who brought us Nobody, John Wick, Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, Bullet Train and Hobbs & Shaw, and it’s described as a “coal-dark holiday action-comedy that says you should always bet on red.”
The film also stars John Leguizamo (John Wick), Cam Gigandet (Without Remorse), Alex Hassell (Cowboy Bebop), Alexis Louder (The Tomorrow War), Edi Patterson (The Righteous Gemstones), and Beverly D’Angelo (National Lampoon’s Vacation franchise).
The movie was directed by Tommy Wirkola (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Dead Snowfranchise), and it will be released in theaters on December 2nd!
