David Lynch Bringing TWIN PEAKS Back to Life!

Director David Lynch is set to bring his classic series Twin Peaks back to life! He and co-creator Mark Frost are currently writing the revival, and Lynch is planning to direct all nine episodes that will air on Showtime in 2016.

If you haven't watched Twin Peaks yet, it's a show that you need to put on your must see list. It's a very strange and incredible series that is fantastically entertaining in every aspect. The series was definitely ahead of its time with its surreal style of storytelling. Over the years, the murder mystery thriller has gained a cult following. If you haven't already, it's about time you joined the cult.

The premiere of the new series will coincide with the 25th anniversary of the show’s death after two seasons on ABC in the early 90s. According to Variety, the new series will be set in the present day and "continue storylines established in the second season. Sources emphasize that the new episodes will not be a remake or a reboot but will reflect the passage of time since viewers last checked in with key characters."

That's awesome. As a fan of the series, that's exactly what I want to see happen. I never imagined that we'd see Twin Peaks return like this, but it is, and it's so cool! I can't wait to see what these characters are up to after all these years.
