David Yost and Walter Jones are Returning to POWER RANGERS and New Figures Announced at Hasbro Pulse Con
Over the weekend, Hasbro had a number of announcements for Power Rangers fans during Hasbro Pulse Con. One of the biggest announcements was that Walter Jones and David Yost are working on something special for the 30th anniversary of the franchise. Many believe that the pair will be appearing in the new season Power Rangers: Cosmic Fury, but it could be anything really. We know that the pair are on set in New Zealand so that is the most likely. This is very exciting because Yost has been talking a lot lately about wanting to return working on Power Rangers and has even shared some thoughts for a potential movie or series on social media before. Will these characters just be making appearances in the show, or do you think there’s more to it?

In addition, Hasbro announced the next wave of Lightning Collection figures including the next Zord Ascension Project (ZAP). Joining the lineup of characters, we’ve got Beast Morphers Yellow, Zoey Reeves; Dino Fury Green, Izzy Garcia; Dino Charge Blue, Koda; the Putrid footsoldiers from Wild Force; and two new Street Fighter Ranger collaborations: Cammy Stinging Crane Ranger and Ken Soaring Falcon Ranger. I’ll be honest, I’m not sure how I feel about these new Street Fighter collaboration designs. Regardless, all of these figures are set to release in March 2023 with an MSRP of $33.99. You can pre-order the non-Street Fighter figures through Amazon, GameStop (affiliate link), and Hasbro Pulse. Cammie and Ken will be available through BigBadToyStore, Dorksidetoys, Entertainment Earth, GameStop, and Hasbro Pulse.
The next ZAP in the Lightning Collection is the Astro Megazord from Power Rangers In Space. The figure I in 1:144 scale and includes both the Astro Megaship and the Astro Megashuttle which combine to form the Megazord. This collectible is made with incredible detail and specialized paint to highlight those details. It looks impressive and is available to pre-order now through BigBadToyStore, Dorksidetoys, Entertainment Earth, GameStop (affiliate link), and Hasbro Pulse with an MSRP of $165.99.
