David Yost Wants a MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS Reunion Limited Series

David Yost is probably most famous for being Billy, the original Blue Ranger. He was the smart, geeky character who very quickly looked way older than a high school kid. Well, since Power Rangers, Yost has been doing a lot of behind the scenes work for various film and television projects. That being said, Power Rangers is once again receiving a huge boost to its popularity, and many fans want some kind of reunion for the original team. We already know that Amy Jo Johnson would love to work on this project, and Yost already has a script written for a reunion film. However, in a new interview with Zia Comics, Yost talks about how he’d love to make a limited series on Netflix that mostly focuses on where the original Rangers have gone since their morphing days.

(Laughs), I mean it’s definitely a rumor, and it’s probably a rumor on my end, but you know I just think it would be great because we’re creeping up on our 30-year anniversary of the original cast and for years we’ve been asked to do a reunion and nothing’s happened. They didn’t take advantage of it at the 25-year reunion, which I don’t know why they didn’t, but, it would be nice to film kind of a limited series.

Maybe 7 episodes or 8 episodes for Netflix and, you know, sort of spend time with each character and see who those characters are and to have like 2 episodes where the first episode and the last episode sort of involves everybody together but the in-between episodes can sort of dive off into each character and see where they’re at and what they’re up to.

Yes please! I would absolutely watch this, no questions asked. You can watch the whole interview below (I highly recommend it), with the information about the reunion starting around 10:30.

If you are a fan of the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, you'll recognize David Yost as Billy Cranston, the original Blue Ranger. David was kind enough...
