Dazzler Has Reportedly Been Cast in X-MEN: DARK PHOENIX

More X-Men: Dark Phoenix casting news has come out, and this time it's about my favorite and everyone else's least favorite mutant, Dazzler!

There has always been a lot of controversy about the mutant Dazzler in the comics. She was originally created to star in a movie alongside the X-Men comics, but then the movie never got off the ground and the comics did. She seemed like a huge gimmick with the costume, makeup, and roller skates. But despite that, I've always thought she was rad as hell.

Now we've learned that Halston Sage, from Paper Towns and Scouts Guide to the Apocalypse has been cast to play this role. Just how much screen time or plot importance she'll have is questionable considering the movie is titled after Jean Grey's villainous alter ego, but that doesn't make me any less excited. Although Halston Sage has mostly played the girl next door role, this could be a good change of pace. Now, she'll be the mutant rockstar girl... next door. I never said it was a large change. 

I'm just pumped to see it happen. In the comics, Dazzler's powers have always been really cool. She can turn sound into light, making lasers, holograms, and even blind people. It will be interesting to see how the character will be handled in the film. I just hope and pray she doesn't just have bright sparkles as her powers. That would be... disappointing.
