DC Animation Announces LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES, JUSTICE LEAGUE, and BATMAN Projects at Comic-Con
Over the weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, DC Animation hosted a world premiere screening of the animated film Green Lantern: Beware My Power. Following the screening of the film, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment's Gary Miereanu shared some news about some of their upcoming animated DC projects!
They announced that Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons is set to be released this fall, and then they revealed a new film project on the horizon titled Legion of Super-Heroes, which is set for a 2023 release. There wasn’t much information shared on Legion of Super-Heroes movie, but there’s also a Legion of Super-Heroes series in the works for HBO Max. That is an adult-themed animated series being developed by comic book creator Brian Michael Bendis.
Some of the other films that were announced during the panel include Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham, another Justice Society of America film, and Justice League: Warworld. There’s also the RWBY x Justice League movie, which was previously announced. Again, there’s not much information to share on these films, but stay tuned for details as they emerge.
