DC Launching BATMAN/HARLEY QUINN Digital Comic Series

Batman has long been one of DC Entertainment's tentpole properties. In August the Dark Knight's latest animated movie Batman and Harley Quinn will be released. DC also announced that ahead of the animated movie, the company will release a digital comic book prequel and a comic book sequel.

The digital comic will be written by and feature art from the creative team behind DC's fan-favorite comic book based on the 1990s Batman The Animated Series, Ty Templeton and Rick Burchett.

Harley Quinn and Batman will be a five-part series that takes place before the events in the animated movie. The series will launch on July 31th with new episodes released every two weeks after that. Then in October, a seven-part sequel Batman and Harley Quinn launches as a weekly release. And if you're a purist and want to own everything as a print collection, you'll have to wait until summer 2018 for them to be released.

The Batman and Harley Quinn movie will be released digitally August 15, with a Blu-ray and DVD release coming on August 29.
