DC's BATWOMAN Series Will Feature the Villain HUSH and Burt Ward Will Make a Cameo
It was safe to assume that we would end up seeing some big classic Batman villains show up in DC’s upcoming series Batwoman, now we know who one of the main villains will be!
Showrunner Caroline Dries officially revealed at Comic-Con that Thomas Elliot, a.k.a. Hush, will be the main villain in the first season and stir up some trouble in Gotham City. As you might expect, the series will offer us a different twist on the character as it will feature a new take on the character’s origin.
Dries told CNET, "The character of Tommy Elliot who ultimately becomes the supervillain Hush but we're seeing his origins of why he hates Batman so much.”
That sounds like it could be interesting. I’m curious to see how they end up playing with the character. It was also announced at the panel that Burt Ward will appear in the series! Ward played Robin in the original classic 1960s Batman TV series.
Here’s the synopsis for the series:
Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) soars through the shadowed streets of Gotham as Batwoman. But don’t call her a hero yet. In a city desperate for a savior, she must first overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope.
Batwoman is currently scheduled to premiere October 6, 2019 on The CW network. What do you think about Hush being the main villain of the first season of the series?
