DC's BLACK ADAM Movie To Be Directed By JUNGLE CRUISE Director Jaume Collet-Serra

It looks like Dwayne Johnson will be teaming up again with the director of Disney’s Jungle Cruise for another big movie. According to Variety, Jaume Collet-Serra is in negotiations to direct DC’s Black Adam.

According to the report, Black Adam is a priority for the studio, especially with the success that they saw with Shazam! Also, apparently Collet-Serra, who also directed The Shallows, has been a front-runner for the project ever since he worked with Johnson on Jungle Cruise. The two talents obviously got along really well with each other.

It’s said that Johnson was very impressed with how “Collet-Serra handled himself on such a large production and was surprised how seamlessly he was able to transition from darker material to much lighter material with such ease.”

I like the films that Collet-Serra has made so I have no problem with him taking on Black Adam. I think he’s a solid choice that will end up delivering a great movie.

The script for the film was written by Adam Sztykiel, who wrote Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip, Due Date, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul. According to Johnson, this script is great and everyone is excited about it. We don’t know what that script entails, but we’ll eventually find out!
