DC's HARLEY QUINN Animated Series Gets a Premiere Date
DC Universe has revealed that the upcoming Harley Quinn animated series is set to premiere on Friday, November 29th! There’s been a lot of talk regarding Harley Quinn recently due to the upcoming Birds of Prey film, but there’s not a lot of excitement about that film in most conversations that I’ve seen online. However, there is excitement for this upcoming animated series!
The voice cast of the series includes The Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco as Harley, Lake Bell (In a World…, Wet Hot American Summer series, Childrens Hospital), Alan Tudyk (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Powerless), Ron Funches (Powerless), JB Smoove (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Jason Alexander (Seinfeld), Wanda Sykes (Black-ish), Giancarlo Esposito (Bob Roberts, Breaking Bad), Natalie Morales (Bojack Horseman), Jim Rash (Mike Tyson Mysteries), Diedrich Bader (Veep), Tony Hale (Arrested Development, Veep), Chris Meloni (Happy!, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit).
The first season will consist of 26 half-hour episodes, and here’s the synopsis:
The animated series follows Harley as she breaks things off with the Joker and attempts to make it on her own as the criminal "queenpin" of Gotham City. The series is described as an adult animated action-comedy.
When previously talking about the series Cuoco said, "This show is completely out of control. Harley Quinn is a blast of a character, and she’s nuts.” Executive producer Justin Halpern added, "Kaley really embraced the idea of ‘I’m gonna just give the craziest performance I can, and then start to figure out exactly where it should live.”
Here’s a previously released trailer for the series to remind you of how great this show will be! Are you looking forward to watching this show?
