DC's THE FLASH Movie To Hire IT Director Andy Muschietti and BUMBLEBEE Writer Christina Hodson
We’ve got some big news to share with you regarding WB and DC’s The Flash movie and I think it’ll make fans happy. According to THR, IT director Andy Muschietti is in talks to direct the film and the studio is looking to hire Bumblebee and Birds of Prey screenwriter Christina Hodson.
It was previously reported that star Ezra Miller was clashing with writer and directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. The actor didn’t like the light-hearted tone of their vision and ended up hiring acclaimed comics author Grant Morrison to write another script that would be a bit darker.
The studio was going to look at both scripts and then decide how they wanted to proceed. Well, it looks like the studio decided to throw both scripts out the window and are going to start from scratch with a new team. Ezra Miller is also still attached to play Flash. According to the report Goldstein and Daley’s exit was voluntarily.
Muschietti is also looking to produce along with his partner and sister, Barbara Muschietti. The official offers to the new talent who will bring The Flash to the big screen will go out shortly.
Muschietti and Hodson should make a great creative team and it’ll be cool to see what they end up coming up with if the deals close.
