DC's Young Adult and Middle Reader Titles Announce Their Artists

Back in February, we learned that DC wanted to make more comics and graphic novels for young adults and middle grade readers. Now we know who’s going to be illustrating the different stories. DC Zoom will be focusing their stories for younger children (around ages 8-12) will have the following titles, authors, and artists:

Super Sons: The Polarshield Project (April 2019) Author: Ridley Pearson Illustrator: Ile Gonzalez

DC Super Hero Girls: Spaced Out (May 2019) Author: Shea Fontana Illustrator: Agnes Garbowska

Batman: Overdrive (August 2019) Author: Shea Fontana Illustrator: Marcelo Di Chiara

Black Canary: Ignite (October 2019) Author: Meg Cabot Illustrator: Cara McGee

DC Ink will be the young adult (ages 13+) branch and here’s their list:

Mera: Tidebreaker (April 2019) Author: Danielle Paige Illustrator: Stephen Byrne

Under The Moon: A Catwoman Tale (May 2019) Author: Lauren Myracle Illustrator: Isaac Goodhart

Harley Quinn: Breaking Glass (June 2019) Author: Mariko Tamaki Illustrator: Steve Pugh

Teen Titans: Raven (July 2019) Author: Kami Garcia Illustrator: Gabriel Picolo

Both imprints will premiere April 2019, and I am actually excited for them. The authors are reportedly set to reveal more information at this year’s American Library Association Annual Conference & Exhibition in late July. You can check out the covers for the novels below.
