Production began on Deadpool 2 in Canada back in June 2017, a little while later production on was briefly haulted following the tragic death of Joi "SJ" Harris, a professional road racer who was acting as the stunt double for Domino actress Zazie Beetz. Filming resumed two days later.
Deadpool 2 opens in theaters on June 1, 2018.
Another Marvel movie has also wrapped up shooting, director Simon Kinberg revealed on Instagram that X-Men: Dark Phoenix has also wrapped principal photography.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix is the fourth chapter in the series of mutant-focused films set in the past, and is the seventh X-Men film. It picks up after the events of X-Men: Apocalypse.
The movie is Kinberg’s directorial debut, but he has served as producer on just about all of the X-Men movies since X-Men: The Last Stand.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix is scheduled to hit theaters November 2, 2018.
