DEADPOOL 2 Director David Leitch Would Love To Return To Work on MATRIX 4

David Leitch, the director of films such as John Wick, Deadpool 2, Hobbs & Shaw, and more, got his start in the entertainment industry doing stunt work in film and TV. He worked on films such as Fight Club, Blade, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Daredevil, and The Matrix franchise.

Well, he had such a great time working on the Matrix films that he would love to return to work on Matrix 4 and is willing to take on any kind of job to be a part of it. During an interview with ComingSoon, the filmmaker said:

“If Lana called and wanted me to do anything on that movie, I would come, I’d carry a c-stand or sandbags. I loved working with her and I loved working with her sister and I feel like I owe so much of my filmmaking background to working on not only the Matrix movies, but also Speed Racer, Ninja Assassin. They were great mentors to me, so if they call I’ll be there. Catering [even]!”

Director Lana Wachowski is returning to helm Matrix 4 and it’d be cool if she asked Leitch to come back and help in some way.

The film is also gathering together a great cast of actors for the film which includes Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss, who will be reprising their roles of Neo and Trinity in the film. Yahya Abdul-Mateen (Aquaman) is rumored to be playing a younger version of Morpheus. Then there’s Jada Pinkett Smith who is currently in negotiations to reprise her role as Niobe, and Neil Patrick Harris has also jumped on board.

Wachowski will co-write the screenplay with Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchell. While we have no details on the story for the film, what would you like to see happen in the film? What is your pitch for Matrix 4!?
