DEADPOOL Actor Ed Skrein Joins Neil Marshall's HELLBOY Reboot

Ed Skrein, not to be confused with Ed Sheeran, has joined the cast of Lionsgate' highly anticipated Hellboy reboot.

He joins David Harbour who is playing the popular demonic hero from the Mike Mignola comic books. This new feature will be directed by Game of Thrones helmer Neil Marshall.

Ian McShane is already cast to play the hero's father, while Milla Jovovich will play the villainess, an evil sorceress set on destroying humankind.

Skrein, who played the villain in Deadpool, will play Major Ben Daimio, a rough-and-tough military-type and member of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense. His character also has the ability to turn into a jaguar when he gets angry or his hurt, thanks to a supernatural encounter.

The Hellboy reboot will probably start shooting in the U.K. and Bulgaria sometime next month.
