Deadpool Creator Rob Liefeld Gets Dwayne Johnson Interested in Playing X-Force's Garrison Kane

The creator of Deadpool and X-Force, Rob Liefeld recently reached out to Dwayne Johnson on social media to take on the role of X-Force’s Garrison Kane in the MCU. Johnson responded with interest.

If you haven’t seen Hobbs & Shaw yet there is a lot of cryptic talk about one of the reasons Johnson would be perfect in the role. Just to be safe, before I continue, I’m going to throw up a spoiler warning.

If you’ve seen Hobbs & Shaw, then you know that Ryan Reynolds has a role in the film and he and Johnson have some fun comedic chemistry with each other. So the thought of seeing Reynolds’ Deadpool teaming up with Johnson’s Garrison Kane is kind of exciting.

Here’s what Liefeld posted:

Johnson responded with the following:

I have no idea what Marvel Studios is planning on doing with Deadpool and the X-Force in the MCU, but I hope that they actually do bring them all into the mix! As for Johnson playing Garrison Kane, it’s certainly not hard to imagine. I’d support his casting!

For those of you not familiar with Kane, he was “a former member of Cable's mercenary team called Six Pack. He was the youngest member, and often immature compared to the veteran mercs. Still, he handled himself well enough on the field.” Kane possesses various superhuman abilities as a result of cybernetic enhancement using both 21st and 40th century technology.

Would you like to see Johnson take on the role of Garrison Kane?
