Deadpool, Wolverine and Cable May Be Teaming Up Again in Ryan Reynolds’ X-FORCE Marvel Movie

Deadpool might be getting the gang back together, but this time, he's not hogging the spotlight.

According to a new rumor making its rounds online, the new Marvel project that Ryan Reynolds is working on might bring together Deadpool, Wolverine, Cable, and Storm for an X-Force-style team-up movie.

As previoulsy reported, Reynolds said that Deadpool will be taking a backseat and serve more as a supporting, comedic player while the spotlight shifts to the larger team dynamic.

This rumor came from industry scooper @MyTimeToShineHello, who claimed on X:

“In the X-Force-style movie Ryan Reynolds is writing, Josh Brolin’s Cable and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine are on his team, along with Storm.”

No word yet on who might be playing Storm, though. But, it would be great if Halle Berry came back to reprise her role. That could happen, at this film will be separate from the official MCU X-Men reboot, which Michael Lesslie is writing.

When previously talking about the project, Reynolds explained that he’s “exploring ideas” for a story that puts legacy X-Men characters front and center while keeping Deadpool around for laughs and chaos.

In the comics, X-Force has always been the darker, messier counterpart to the traditional X-Men. Think of them as the sharp-edged solution to mutant problems the X-Men wouldn’t touch. If the movie leans into that it could be a fun adventure!

If the rumors are true, it looks like we're in for one hell of an exciting mutant reunion. There’s a wild a fun dynamic here!
