DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE Director Shawn Levy Says He's Not Done with Marvel
With Deadpool & Wolverine being such a massive hit at the box office, there’s no doubt that one day we’ll see director Shawn Levy working on another Marvel project.
While speaking with Variety, Levy was asked if he would be open to directing and Marvel movie and he teased that he and Marvel are not done with each other.
Levy answered: “I don’t know what form my Marvel future will take, but I’m very confident Marvel and I aren’t done with each other.”
It was previously reported that Levy had been offered the opportunity to direct several projects for Marvel. Apparently, the filmmaker has his pick of projects if he wants to stay in business with Marvel.
The big question is, what Marvel movie will he make next? There are a lot of projects he could choose from and he already mentioned wanting to helm a Deadpool & Spider-Man movie. But who knows if that will actually happen.
When talking about his experience working with Marvel, Levy said: "This is the first time I’m coming into a franchise that existed before I created it, but whatever anxieties I had about working for the [Marvel] machine were unfounded. I’ve had as much creative freedom and empowerment on this movie as any movie I’ve ever made."
