Deborah Ann Woll Discusses DAREDEVIL and Says Her Role in the Series Feels Unfinished
Marvel and Netflix’s Daredevil series was freakin’ awesome and it was a bummer when we learned that it was canceled. There was more story to tell and the fans would have loved to see it continue! There were several character arcs that were left unfinished.
One of those characters was Karen Page, the former office manager of Matt Murdock’s law firm. She was played by Deborah Ann Woll and Her character arc was actually turning out to be pretty interesting.
During a recent appearance on the podcast Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum, Woll talked about the Daredevil series and said that her role feels “unfinished.”
“The Marvel series feel unfinished to me because we got canceled when we thought we were going to have more. There’s a part of me that was like, ‘I had more to say about Karen,’ and I felt I was in the middle of that story.”
She went on to compare her time in True Blood to Daredevil, saying:
“Whereas True Blood, for all its ups and downs, and triumphs and flaws, we did get to wrap it up. I knew that we were wrapping it up, and I could say goodbye to everyone. I stole something from the set — I didn’t get to steal anything from our Daredevil set. I didn’t get to say goodbye to the crew because we all thought we were coming back. So that’s really what I would want back, and I wouldn’t have all of that back, obviously.”
Now, Marvel Studios is bringing Daredevil back for the Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again, but I’m not sure if any of the other members of the cast other than Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio will be back to reprise their roles. I would love to see Woll return to her role, but we’ll just have to wait and see how things play out.
Daredevil: Born Again arrives sometime in 2024. Would you like to see Woll come back for the series?
