Delightful Full Trailer For The New THE WONDER YEARS Series
ABC has released a full trailer for its upcoming series The Wonder Years, which is inspired by the classic series that many of us grew up watching. I loved that show and this new series looks like it will actually be quite a delightful show to watch. I really enjoyed what this trailer has to offer.
This new series tells the story of a black middle-class family living in Montgomery, Alabama in the late 1960s. The story is told “through the point of view of imaginative 12-year-old Dean. With the wisdom of his adult years, Dean’s hopeful and humorous recollections show how his family found their ‘wonder years’ in a turbulent time.” It looks like this new version of The Wonder Years captures that spark and spirit of the original series and I’m looking forward to watching it.
Don Cheadle narrates the series as adult Dean Williams, and the cast includes Elisha “EJ” Williams as Dean Williams, Dulé Hill as Bill Williams, Saycon Sengbloh as Lillian Williams, Laura Kariuki as Kim Williams, Julian Lerner as Brad Hitman, Amari O’Neil as Cory Long, and Milan Ray as Keisa Clemmons.
The Wonder Years reboot comes from writer and executive producer Saladin Patterson with Lee Daniels and Marc Velez executive producing. Original series star Fred Savage will direct the pilot and executive produce. The original show’s creator, Neal Marlens, will serve as a consultant.
The series is set to premiere on September 22nd.
