Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley to Star in Horror Flick THE SUBSTANCE From the Director of REVENGE
Demi Moore (Ghost, A Few Good Men) and Margaret Qualley (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Maid) have signed on to star in the horror flick The Substance. Coralie Fargeat (Revenge) will direct the pic from the script she wrote. This will mark the French filmmaker’s first studio feature.
Specifics on The Substance are being kept under wraps, but Deadline reports that “it is Fargeat’s explosive feminist take on body horror.” I think that sounds terrible. I am not a big fan of horror in the first place, but this description sounds like it’s going to go a step too far in an extreme direction. But I suppose we can reserve our judgement for the trailer.
