Demián Bichir Set to Join George Clooney in Netflix Film Adaptation of GOOD MORNING, MIDNIGHT

Demián Bichir (The Hateful Eight, The Nun) has joined the George Clooney directed adaptation of Good Morning, Midnight, based on the book by Lily Brooks-Dalton. Clooney is also starring in the film alongside Bichir, as well as Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything), Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights), and David Oyelowo (Selma).

Variety reports the following story description:

The post-apocalyptic tale follows the parallel stories of Augustine (played by Clooney), a lonely scientist in the Arctic, and an astronaut on board the Aether spacecraft, which is trying to return home to Earth, as Augustine races to make contact with the spaceship. Bechir’s role is being kept under wraps.

Mark L. Smith (The Revenant) has penned the script for the adaptation. This sounds like it will be an interesting and visually stunning film, and with Clooney at the helm and this impressive cast, I think it will be great.

Good Morning, Midnight is filming now, and will be released on Netflix in 2020. Have you read this book? What do you think of the cast?
