Denzel Washington Will Kick Some Ass Again in a Third EQUALIZER Movie
The first two Equalizer movies from director Antoine Fuqua told great stories that delivered some badass action. Denzel Washington is awesome in those films, and it looks like he’s not done playing Robert McCall yet! The actor has confirmed that he will be back for The Equalizer 3, and the script is all ready to go!
During an interview with Collider, Washington said, "They have written the third Equalizer, so I’m scheduled to do that. So I gotta get in shape and start beating people up again. I get to beat people up again. The tragedy of Macbeth and then going and beating some people up. Can’t get any better, right?"
According to the report, Fuqua is currently in talks to return to direct. It’s not a done deal yet, but I’m pretty confident that he’ll be back to direct the film. These Equalizer movies are a Washington and Fuqua package, it’s their combined talents that make these films so good.
It’s expected that Fuqua will shoot the film after is finished working on Will Smith’s Emancipation movie which is being made for Apple TV+. When previously talking about the possible third film, Fuque shared his ideas saying, "In my mind, there’s a European adventure, absolutely. In my mind, that’s what I’d like, to see him in Europe, in the future. God willing."
So, I guess that we can expect to see McCall kick some ass in Europe in this next chapter!
