DESTINY 2 is Getting Cross-Play Next Year
Bungie recently held a livestream for Destiny 2 where they focused on upcoming content that would release this year. This mostly meant talk about Season 11, but the thing I’m more excited about is what they announced for 2021. During the stream, they did talk about how cross-play is coming to the ever-popular game.
It sounds like Destiny 2’s cross-play will be implemented gradually starting with PS5 and Xbox Series X players being able to play with friends on the PS4 and Xbox One respectively. However, it will then expand and allow all players including PC and Stadia users to play the game together. This is fantastic news! Of course, Bungie had already implemented cross-save last year which allows players to use their save files across platforms which I’m sure was a big step toward where we’re headed next year.
Who else is excited for this?
