Details on Bruce Wayne's and Clark Kent’s Living Situation in BATMAN V SUPERMAN
The trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice teased the ruins of Wayne Manor and the Batcave, but if you’re wondering where Bruce Wayne actually calls home, production designer Patrick Tatopoulos has answers for you.
He confirmed with Empire Magazine that Bruce Wayne’s home is set next to an idyllic lakeside and is known as the Glasshouse.
"Its footprint is minima, it is part of nature. You are designing a house that would have been designed by van der Rohe, how ballsy is that?"
So we can throw out all those theories that Wayne is living in the Batcave. Tatopulos also offered some additional details on Wayne’s personality in the film:
"Bruce is the Bruce Wayne you know. He's a playboy, he's got money. He has this strength, but also an artistic sensibility. He's got a past, a family who got him where he is today."
As for where Kent goes when he’s not covering the news or saving the world, he and Lois Lane have an apartment together. Their relationship has obviously progressed. Then there’s Lex Luthor. The interior of Lex's home was shot in a Detroit museum, and according to the report we never get to see his bedroom. Why? Because, according to Tatopulus:
"Everything is a facade. You have no access to what is inside Lex."
Ah, ha! You see what they’re doing there?! As far as what we can expect to see from Gotham City and Metropolis, they will be portrayed in very stylized and different ways.
"There are other things happening too. Gotham is a very different city from Metropolis. Metropolis is Toronto on Steroids. Gotham is Detroit."
So there’s a little bit more information on what you can expect to see in the movie.
