Details on Jon Watts' STAR WARS: SKELETON CREW Series with Jude Law Set to Star!

Lucasfilm officially announced the new Star Wars series that’s being developed by Spider-Man trilogy director Jon Watts. The project is titled Star Wars: Skeleton Crew and Jude Law is set to star!

Skeleton Crew will take place in the post-Return of the Jedi era alongside The Mandalorian. It’s been described as ”a galactic version of classic Amblin coming-of-age adventure films of the ’80s.” Some promo art was shared that totally capture this vibe and you can check that out below.

It was also revealed that the story will follow ten years old from a tiny little planet, and they end up getting lost in the Star Wars galaxy. It sounds like a lot of fun and when Watts came on stage to talk a little bit about the series, he explained that even though the series is about kids, it isn't a kids show. He said: "It stars four kids, but it's not a kids show."

Dave Filoni also said the Star Wars shows, including this one, will all intertwine in "weird ways." What exactly that means remains to be seen.

A casting call is currently out “for four children, around 11 to 12 years old” to fill the other roles in the show. It’ll be cool to see how this show turns out!
