Details on Snoke and Luke's Relationship Revealed in STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI Novel

I’ve heard a lot of people voice their complaints about Star Wars: The Last Jedi and probably the number one complaint I hear is about Supreme Leader Snoke. Many fans were disappointed that The Last Jedi didn’t explore who Snoke was or even just give us a simple explanation. CBM is reporting that their be one to appease fans. I know it’s not the same as having it in the film, but the report suggests that the novelization of the film will provide some details about who Snoke is.

Apparently, while Luke Skywalker was looking for Jedi lore, he came into contact with Snoke (it’s unclear if this was physically or via the Force) and Snoke gained a deep respect for Skywalker. Snoke was reportedly gifted with the Force since “a young age” and was able to use it to see his future. This, in theory, turned him against Luke. Makes sense. You see that in your future you’re someone’s enemy, might as well start hating them now. Snoke was also supposedly powerful enough in the Force to conceal his existence from Palpatine and then used “Operation Cinder” (hopefully they explain what that is) to seize control of the Empire to form The First Order.

This novelization will be released March 6, 2018, and Rian Johnson did contribute to it, so maybe he can earn some forgiveness from fans? You can pre-order the book now on Amazon.
