DETECTIVE PIKACHU Adds Suki Waterhouse to the Cast

A couple of weeks ago, we learned that Ken Watanabe was joining the cast of Detective Pikachu as Detective Yoshida. Now, we have a new cast member. Suki Waterhouse has joined the program, but we’ve been given no information regarding who her character is or what role she will be.

Waterhouse joins Watanabe, Justice Smith, Kathryn Newton, and Ryan Reynolds for this movie and I’m questioning how good it will be. The premise seems ridiculous, a special Pikachu that can help solve mysteries teams up with Smith to find Smith’s kidnapped (dadnapped?) father. However, the casting so far is pretty amazing. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how this movie plays out. I’m really interested to see Reynolds’ portrayal of the electric mouse.

Waterhouse is best known for her performances in Insurgent, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, The Bad Batch, and the upcoming film Revenge.

Rob Letterman is directing the project with Nicole Perlman and Alex Hirsch providing the script. What creature would you like to see take on a human occupation?
