Dev Patel Sets Out on a Dangerous Quest in the Trailer for the Medieval Fantasy Film THE GREEN KNIGHT
The first teaser trailer has been released for director David Lowery’s upcoming medieval fantasy film The Green Knight. Dev Patel stars in the film as Sir Gawain, “King Arthur’s reckless and headstrong nephew, who embarks on a quest to confront the eponymous Green Knight, a gigantic green-skinned stranger.”
This is a very different kind of film for Lowery, who has previously helmed Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, Pete’s Dragon, A Ghost Story, and The Old Man & The Gun. If you’re familiar with his work, then you know The Green Knight is going to be a very unique and different kind of medieval fantasy film.
I love what I saw in this trailer! It looks like it’ll be a great and visual stunning film that tells an intriguing story. I love stories like this, and the story of The Green Knight is a great one that will make for a great film. Here’s the official synopsis:
An epic fantasy adventure based on the timeless Arthurian legend, THE GREEN KNIGHT tells the story of Sir Gawain (Dev Patel), King Arthur’s reckless and headstrong nephew, who embarks on a daring quest to confront the eponymous Green Knight, a gigantic emerald-skinned stranger and tester of men. In addition to Patel, The Green Knight features Joel Edgerton, Barry Keoghan, Ralph Ineson, Alicia Vikander, and Sean Harris.
