DEVIL MAY CRY is Getting an Animated Series at Netflix and It Will Tie in With CASTLEVANIA
It’s been announced that Netflix is developing a new animated series based on Capcom’s video game franchise Devil May Cry. The series is being developed and produced by Adi Shankar, who also developed the awesome Castlevania series that fans have been enjoying.
In fact, Devil Mat Cry will actually tie in with Castlevania! IGN confirmed that the Devil May Cry series “will join Castlevania in what we’re now calling the bootleg multiverse.” Shankar also told them that he "acquired these (Devil May Cry) rights myself so the jabronis in Hollywood don’t fuck this one up too."
He didn’t offer any details on the series or what it would entail, but chances are if you’ve been enjoying Castlevainia, you’ll like what Shankar ends up doing with Devil May Cry. I have no doubt that he’ll deliver something cool.
Shankar goers on to say that the success Castlevania is what gave him the ability to get Devil May Cry rolling and says that it "really over-performed. It did crazy well. We immediately got greenlit for Season 3. I wouldn’t have a job if it wasn’t for the fans."
