DEXTER Is Coming Back for a Limited Series at Showtime with Michael C. Hall Returning!
I never thought I’d ever see this happen, but the incredible serial killer drama Dexter is getting a limited series revival at Showtime!
Michael C. Hall, who played Dexter in the series, will be returning to reprise his role, and series showrunner and writer Clyde Phillps is also coming back to help develop the series.
Dexter was one of my favorite shows, and it followed Dexter Morgan, a complicated and conflicted blood-spatter expert for the Miami police department by day and a serial killer, who murdered bad guys at night.
Gary Levine, Co-President of Entertainment at Showtime, said in a statement:
“Dexter is such a special series, both for its millions of fans and for Showtime, as this breakthrough show helped put our network on the map many years ago. We would only revisit this unique character if we could find a creative take that was truly worthy of the brilliant, original series. Well, I am happy to report that Clyde Phillips and Michael C. Hall have found it, and we can’t wait to shoot it and show it to the world.”
We don’t have any details to share on the story, but if you watched the show, you know how it ended. If you haven’t watched the series yet, you need to! I know a lot of fans didn’t care for the way Dexter came to an end, but it looks like the story isn’t finished yet, and that makes me so happy!
What are your thoughts on Dexter coming back for a limited series at Showtime?
