DEXTER's Michael C. Hall Wants to Play Batman; Could You See Him as The Dark Knight?

We don't really know what the future of Batman will be at this point. There are several actors who have played the character on the big screen over the years and Ben Affleck was the latest actor to wear the cape and cowl. We have no idea if we'll see Affleck in the role again. He might show up in the Flash, but we know that director Matt Reeves is looking for a new actor to star in his Batman solo film.

One actor that has recently expressed interesting in taking on the live-action role of the Dark Knight is Dexter star, Michael C. Hall. He has already voiced the character in the animated film Justice League: Gods & Monsters. While talking to Yahoo, Hall talked about voicing the character, saying:

"In that particular iteration of the superhero origin story, it was an alternative universe, he was a vampire. But Batman in general, I like him as a superhero, because he’s not particularly endowed with superpowers, he’s just smart. And the suit!"

Hall goes on to say that Batman is his favorite superhero, and his co-star from the upcoming Netflix series, Safe, Amanda Abbington, told him that he'd make a great live-action Batman, and Hall was totally on board with that!

"I’m Batman, tell your friends about me. I love that, that was the Michael Keaton version. Well, thanks, sure – I’m all for that."

I'm sure this talk will end up amounting to nothing, but it's fun to talk about the possibility! It would definitely be an interesting casting choice. He already played a super dark hero of sorts in Dexter as a serial killer that killed bad guys, and Batman is a role that he might actually be able to pull off.

Do you think that Michael C. Hall would make for a good Batman!? Would you like to see him considered for the role?
