Diablo Cody Writing New Horror Film LISA FRANKENSTEIN Starring FREAKY's Kathryn Newton
Diablo Cody (Juno, Jennifer’s Body) is set to write a new horror-comedy titled Lisa Frankenstein, which is being directed by Zelda Williams. It’s also reported that Kathryn Newton (Freaky) and Cole Sprouse (Riverdale) are set to star in the film, which is set up at Focus Features.
The film is set in 1989, and the story follows “an unpopular high schooler who accidentally re-animates a handsome Victorian corpse during a lightning storm and starts to rebuild him into the man of her dreams using the broken tanning bed in her garage.”
I love how this teen girl “accidentally re-animates a handsome Victorian corpse during a lightning storm.” How do you accidentally do that!? I guess we’ll find out when we learn more about the movie and its story.
Regardless, it’s got a solid team of talent, and it’ll be interesting to see how this turns out. The film is set to shoot this summer.
