Did You Know That Wet String Can Carry the Internet

We’ve all suffered terrible Internet speeds. It’s a huge first world problem, not having the Internet speed we want. We now know that if absolutely necessary we could use string to carry broadband data and get results. One of the engineers at Andrews and Arnold in the United Kingdom tested this idea recently by taking 2 meters of string and getting it wet in salty water. The result was 3.5 Mbps download speeds and just awful upload speeds of around 67 Kbps, but at least it’s something. While this may not be a viable option, it shows that technology is incredible.
