Did You See That? RWBY Volume 7 Episode 10
We’re on episode 10 of RWBY’s seventh season. This had a little bit more action, some great moments, and a lot of build up for the next episode. If you haven’t watched it yet, this is your warning that spoilers abound below.
This episode features RWBY, JNR, Ace Ops, and Qrow working to evacuate the citizens of Mantle while taking care of the Grimm overrunning the town. Thankfully, Ironwood and Robyn appear on the screens, and he comes clean about everything. The people can see that Robyn is using her semblance, which means that they know he’s telling the truth, and he also explains that the people of Mantle will be evacuated to Atlas. Thank goodness! Maybe now they can actually do something. A great moment during this is actually focused on Arthur Watts who talks about how the tin man has gained a heart at the cost of his brain. I loved this allusion.
Well, Tyrion starts to go on a hunt and finds Robyn who’s helping the people in Mantle. A couple shots are fired, and it turns out that it’s not just Tyrion versus Robyn. It’s Tyrion versus Robyn, Qrow, and Clover. I am pumped for this, but not as much as I am for what we see later. During the broadcast, Ironwood said that Amity Tower was completed and so Watts goes to find a way to sabotage it or hack it or something, and while there, Ironwood reveals himself. It’s also revealed that he lied about the completion of the project to lure Watts there. This means we’re going to hopefully see Ironwood in action. This is what I’m pumped for the most.
Another cool part of the episode, though, is earlier when everyone is fighting the Grimm. It’s just kinda cool to watch them take out these giant Grimm in different ways. For instance, Blake gets it to take out some of its buddies before Elm “lifts” it and Yang fills it with explosives. Meanwhile, Ruby and Penny use its own tusk to impale it. It’s fun to return to fighting Grimm from time to time.
My final point is that I loved watching Jaune and Ren help evacuate people. After Vine takes out some Grimm, Jaune takes charge a little and energizes some kids to help make things work. He then uses his semblance in combination with Ren’s to help securely move them. What was your favorite moment from the episode?
