Did You See That? RWBY Volume 7 Episode 6
Another week has come and gone which means another episode of RWBY. This season gets better with each episode and I cannot wait to see what happens next time. If you haven’t watched the episode titled “A Night Off” yet, I recommend bookmarking this page and returning once you have. The episode will be available to everyone on Rooster Teeth’s site on Saturday, December 14.
This episode picks up with our heroes training their butts off. Weiss is sparring with Winter and even manages to land a decent hit on her with her Armor Gigas. We also see RWBY practicing with her semblance and as she’s about to hit a pillar, she divides into three blobs that move around said pillar and rejoin into one. WHAT!? What is her semblance? Clearly, it gives some kind of speed boost, but there’s more to it than that. Thoughts?
As everyone finishes their training, Ironwood and Clover come in and order everyone to take the night off. It’s the day of the election and everyone is on edge about what the results will be. Will Jacque Schnee get the council seat, or will it be Robyn Hill? Throughout the episode, we get to see the results and when we first see it, we see that Jacque is at 30% and Robyn is at 70%. Every time we see the results, Jacque is up a few points.
On their night off, Blake and Yang decide to go dancing with Team FNKI, Weiss joins Jaune and Oscar for a movie, and Ruby goes with Nora and Ren to a victory party that Robyn was holding. When they arrive at the party, we see that Marrow and Penny are providing security for the event. Robyn gets up to give a speech and that’s when crap hits the fan.
Arthur Watts is easily able to hack into Minstral’s systems and makes the party go dark. Just before he does that, Ruby spotted Tyrion who goes on a killing spree once the lights are out. He kills a fair number of Robyn’s supporters and then gets on stage to poison Fiona Thyme (I think that’s supposed to be Friar Tuck). Penny ends up unable to see Tyrion (thanks to Arthur’s hacking into her supposedly) and it causes a lot of problems. Tyrion gets out just as the lights go back on and the heroes and Marrow and busy trying to get Penny out of there as things are now not good for her. Penny seems frozen, most likely because she’s not sure what the heck just happened and now Robyn doesn’t fully trust her.
When the lights come back on, we also find out that Jacque won the election. Looks like Arthur manipulated something besides the lights and Penny. As everyone leaves the party to get Penny back to Atlas, Grimm appear. Guess it’s back to work for our heroes.
I’m really scared for Ironwood at this point. You know that Jacque is gunning for him and we know that Jacque is aligning himself with Salem’s team. This is bad news for everyone. I wonder how they’re going to convince Robyn to help them. There was talk of maybe letting her in on a bit, but Ironwood seems unconvinced. It’s going to be very interesting.
