DIMENSION 20 Brings Aabria Iyengar in to GM MISFITS AND MAGIC Releasing This Month
Dimension 20 is a fantastic show to watch if you enjoy watching people play tabletop RPGs like Dungeons & Dragons. It was recently revealed that the show is having a new season release soon, and they just finished airing their Mice & Murder season.
This next season is sure to be one heck of a ride. It’s called Misfits and Magic and will last for 4 episodes starting June 30. It’s a big play on the world of Harry Potter and looks hilarious. In addition, the season will actually use the Kids on Brooms system available from Renegade Game Studios and designed by Jonathan Gilmour, Doug Levandowski, and Spenser Starke.
If that’s not enough to get you excited, then maybe the news that Aabria Iyengar will be the GM for Misfits and Magic will get you there. She has worked with Dimension 20’s Creative Director, Orion Black to create the world and premise for the 4-episode series and I’m very pumped. Fans will be able to see more of Iyengar this summer as she DMs for Critical Role’s new Exandria Unlimited campaign and as a player for season 2 of Into the Motherlands.
I bet you’re wondering what happened to Brennan Lee Mulligan. Well, he’s going to be in the season, just as a player character. He’ll play Evan Kelmp. Other players include Erika Ishii as Karen Keiko Tanaka, Danielle Radford as Sam Black, and Lou Wilson as Whitney “Sandwich Man” Jammer. I’m very excited for this next season. Ishii has played one of my favorite D&D characters in Escape from the Bloodkeep and I cannot wait to see what she brings this time.
Fans will be able to watch the first episode of Misfits and Magic on June 30 over on Dropout.tv and CollegeHumor’s YouTube channel if you are a Membership subscriber.
