Dinos, Ritual Summoned Food, and More Come to YU-GI-OH! TCG This Summer

Wild Survivors is a new side set releasing this summer for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. It has 60 cards with three new strategies. First, there are new Dinosaur-type monsters for your Extra Deck that span Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz. Second, there’s a Ritual Summoning strategy with a cuisine theme which makes me hope and pray that the meme that is Hungry Burger is somehow included in it. It looks like the idea is that you Ritual Summon one of the new monsters, meet a specific condition, and then Tribute it and an opponent’s monster to bring out another one in the archetype. The third theme is all about “Attribute-powered special attacks!” This makes me think of the old Element Monsters like Element Dragon and Element Soldier that gained bonuses based on what other Attributes were on the board. Maybe this time they’ll be better?

Wild Survivors will release on June 2 with an MSRP of $4.49 per pack and each pack will include 1 Foil and 6 Rare cards for a total of 7 cards per pack. The rarity breakdown and full explanation of each archetype will be below.

The Wild Survivors booster set contains 60 cards:

  • 10 Ultra Rares

  • 15 Super Rares

  • 35 Rares

    • 15 cards in the set are also available as Collector’s Rares

Giant Dinosaurs that evolved to use different types of Summoning techniques! Wild Survivors introduces new Dinosaur monsters for your Extra Deck, including a Fusion, a Synchro, and an Xyz Monster! Whether you’re powering up your existing Dinosaur Deck or looking to build one for the first time, you’ll be able to find the cards you need in Wild Survivors!

A Ritual Summoning strategy that will introduce your opponent to a whole new world of monstrous cuisine! Cook up your opponent’s monsters and serve them a full-course meal that fights back. Once you’ve Ritual Summoned your first monster and the special condition is met, it can Tribute itself off along with 1 of your opponent’s monsters to Summon the next one on the menu!

Fighters that battle with Attribute-powered special attacks! More information will be available as Wild Survivors gets closer to release.
