Director Harmony Korine Says CALL OF DUTY: MODERN WARFARE III Trailer Is Better Than Anything "Spielberg's Ever Done"
Director Harmony Korine, who has made films such as Kids, Spring Breakers, and The Beach Bum, recently praised the new trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. In fact, he says it’s better than anything that Steven Spielberg has ever made!
During a recent interview with GQ, Korine said: “You could look at the Call of Duty trailer now, and it looks better than anything that Spielberg’s ever done.”
That’s some seriously high praise, and while the trailer is pretty awesome with impressive visuals, it’s a video game trailer, and it has the same feel as a lot of the video game trailers for these kinds of military war games.
Now, I’m a massive Call of Duty fan, but I just can’t agree that this trailer for the game is better than anything Spielberg has done. It’s hard to even compare the two! They are two completely different mediums. I guess Korine just wanted to take a shot at Spielberg for some reason.
