Director James Gunn Shares His Dream X-Men Character Roster

James Gunn did an incredible job bringing to life the characters that make up The Guardians of the Galaxy, and fans are looking forward to seeing what he does with The Suicide Squad. We don’t know what Gunn is going to be doing after Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, but if he were to make an X-Men film at some point, he has shared his dream mutant character roster.

He shared his roster after comic book writer Gail Simone recently shared the #My5XMen hashtag, Gunn responded with an interesting lineup of characters that I’d love to see Gunn play with.

His lineup consists of Doop, Fantomex, Kitty Pryde, Storm, and Wolverine. Here’s what he shared on Twitter:

If anyone could effectively pull off bringing Doop to the big screen, it’s Gunn. It would be such a blast seeing a film with these five characters at the center of the story. I seriously doubt it will ever happen, but it should, and Gunn should direct it! Wolverine and Doop actually had their own comic book story arc in 2003.

Who would your five dream X-Men characters be?
