Director Paul Feig Was Super Bummed That He Had to Cut Paul Rudd's Insane Scene From BRIDESMAIDS

The 2011 comedy Bridesmaids was a hilarious and wild movie about two best friends and their lives as one gets engaged, and the other one’s life implodes. The film was written by SNL alum Kristen Wiig and her writing partner Annie Mumolo, and it stars Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, Melissa McCarthy, Wendy McLendon-Covey, and Chris O’Dowd, as well as Rebel Wilson and Jon Hamm.

The ensemble is crazy good, and as it turns out, there were more big name characters planned, but they didn’t make the final cut. One of those was Paul Rudd (Clueless, Ant-Man), who would have been a failed love interest for Wiig’s character, Annie. In the deleted scene, they get set up on a blind date, which actually starts out really well. The conversation is flowing, and they’re really connecting, but then Rudd’s character loses his shit at an ice rink.

Director of the film Paul Feig described cutting Rudd's scenes from the movie as "that terrible moment when you have to kill your babies." He also said that it was one of the funniest things he'd ever seen, but due to the film running so long, and there already being a love triangle, the blind date had to go.

Check out the scene below, and enjoy!
