Director Sam Raimi Says He Wants To Make BATMAN and THE SHADOW Movies

Sam Raimi has had a pretty awesome career making horror movies and superhero movies. When it comes to those superhero flicks, he’s got Darkman, the Spider-Man trilogy, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness under his belt. But, there is another superhero that he’d like to take on, and that character is DC’s Batman.

In a recent interview with Empire Magazine, Raimi shared: "I've always loved Batman. If I ever saw the Batsignal up in the air, I'd come running.” He also said that he’d like to take on The Shadow as well: “If I heard that deep, gurgling laugh of The Shadow coming from the darkness, I would also tentatively step outside. And Spider-Man would be ahead of Doctor Strange, but I don't want to put him down the list!" 

I think Raimi would do a great job with Batman and The Shadow. I’d be curious to see what his vision would be for them. Directing a Batman film is less likely as DC and Matt Reeves seem to have a long-term plan for the character. But, The Shadow… he could totally take on The Shadow! I could see him having a lot of fun with that and it totally fits his directing style.
