Director Zack Snyder Has Launched a New Production Company
Director Zack Snyder has announced a new production company that he launched called The Stone Quarry. The new media venture that will be producing film, television, and animation content.
Snyder made the announcement on the social media site Vero, which he has been using exclusively for awhile. The announcement came with a logo for the production company and the following note:
"New Year. New Identity. After 14 amazing years making groundbreaking entertainment under the Cruel & Unusual Films Moniker, we're excited to unveil our new company identity as we move into 2019 and beyond. Although Cruel & Unusual Films will always be a proud part of our legacy, our new and exciting future creative endeavors will be mined, chiseled and honed in THE STONE QUARRY."
I’ve been wondering what Snyder’s next move would be since he and Warner Bros. parted ways on Justice League as he was dealing with the tragic death of his daughter.
Well, he is starting with a fresh new production company, which is also said to be “A sacred creative space that has been four years in the making.” No projects have been announced yet, but I’m curious to see what comes out of it.
Regardless of how fans, like myself, feel about his DC movies, I’ve always liked his filmmaking style. Hopefully he brings that style back in his future film projects along with some good stories to tell and solid scripts. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens!
