Disney Announces New September Date for Disney+ Day Event

Disney has announced that they are moving up the date for its annual event, Disney+ Day! The virtual event happened last year on November 12, 2021, on the one year anniversary of Disney+’s launch, and although it was expected to return at the same time this year, Disney has announced that we can expect Disney+ Day to take place on September 8th.

Bob Chapek, Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company, gave a press release announcing the event, saying:

"The inaugural Disney+ Day will be a grand-scale celebration of our subscribers across the entire company. This day of appreciation brings to life our mission to entertain, inform, and inspire fans and families around the globe through the power of unparalleled storytelling, and will become an annual tentpole event to be amplified across our global businesses."

Last year, the event included sneak previews of upcoming Disney+ content, including a one-hour special event from Marvel Studios. It all brought several new films, shows, and shorts to the platform. It was an exciting day, and I am super looking forward to seeing what they have in store this year.
